Sad to hear that MAD is ceasing publication of its newstand mag.

It's not completely dead but it is on a ventilator and will only be publishing new material in an annual end of year issue.

Very sad news. Mad showed up for me in that very important period just after Spiderman comics and before National Lampoon mag. An important step on a cynical, questioning, comedic journey. (There may also have been some Playboys in the back of my dad’s closet in that era — and it wasn’t just about the articles!)
