OT: Fed A Bunch Of Hungry Construction Workers Yesterday

CTMike
CTMike Posts: 3,384
A large regional construction company hired us to feed 100 construction workers yesterday. The company was rehabbing the dorms at Bryant University. Was able to grab a few pics during the cook, but once the lunch bell rang it was like a pack of vultures descended.

The food was a huge hit, and the University's project manager is looking to hire us for a larger event in the near future.

    Dang! Looks like a feast.
    Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Congrats on the event and better yet, the follow-on deal.
All groceries are great looking and definitely crowd favorites.
    Doubt there was much left-over.

The only left-over was about 1/3 pan of the pulled pork. I think locusts is a better descriptor than vultures as everything was picked clean.

    Submarines twice . . .

A hundred folks is a leisurely stroll in the park for Mike and Mortimor. That man can sling some grub. I have seen it firsthand.

Outstanding effort along with a beautiful cook. Everything looked delicious Mike, and if I had been there, there would have been nothing left.

One lesson learned is to bring hot sauce. A large portion of the crew was Hispanic and a good number of them asked for some to put on the pork.
