    @SGH Thanks!
    @eggnewtoy Thank you, the flat style basket is next on my list.  The one I just ordered is a tumble-style.  Looking forward to playing with both and turning out some more delicious food for the fam to enjoy!

    It’s supposed to be great.  Let me know how it goes.

    OK, I'm a tad behind in posting my first Joetisserie cook... but I just grabbed a small 2# beef roast on the way home, as I was just so excited to get going with the Joetisserie!
    I used a nice sized chunk of post oak on some Rockwood/RO combo. Had trouble getting the RO to start for some reason and added the Rockwood. Then the fire got a little too hot (350F+), so I ended up cooking the roast 'too hard' and it ended up a tad tough & chewy, no matter what direction I sliced it...
    Loved the look of it coming out and even got a ring on such a short cook, and the flavor was fantastic!  So, gnawing on a slice for a minute or two was at least tolerable  :-)
    Can't wait to improve my process and try it again to make a more tender roast!

    A couple of nights ago, I did some BLSL breasts in the flat basket and they were some of the best I've ever pulled out of the LBGE !!!

    Tonight - I'm a-spinnin' a pork loin roast, and a drunken pineapple (if I can find one at the store today...)

    So far I love mine!
    Did a pork loin roast - learned another lesson - it's REALLY MUCH MORE important to let any spun meat rest before slicing since they are so juicy.  Got up from dinner and all the goodness was on the countertop since I was so greedy to start eating.

    Too late for your first cook, but next time go for gyros.  You have the perfect tool for it.

    I did Gyros last weekend. Made up the meat mixture and rolled it into aluminum foil in the shape of a fattie. Put it in the fridge over night to firm up. Slid it on the joetisserie, and started the cook with the foil on. After an hour, took the foil off and let the outside get nice and dark. It came out pretty good. I need to work with the spices more.

    @eggnewtoy What basket do you use?  I just ordered the ‘fill it & grill it’ - should be here by next weekend.  Ready to tumble some wings!
    I use the grill pro non-stick baskets.
    Magnificent!

    Prime possum is hard to find.  The ones along the road are usually choice at best.
