Not sure why I signed up for this since they don't ship to Alaska, but if I receive a notification I'll try to make a point of posting it here unless someone else beats me to it.  I imagine the cost will likely be out of my league even if they did ship up my way.  Still, I have to admit I am curious.

    I signed up some weeks ago out of morbid curiosity.  The A5 Wagyu brisket flat goes for $750, so I'm sure the whole packer will be over $1k.  I've had A4 ribeye and striploin, and while tasty, it's just too rich for my palate.  It's like eating meat flavored butter.
    It's "Smokin Gal", not "Smoking Al".

    $750 worth of hamburger meat. 100% Wagyu briskets are no bueno for Barbecue. Too fatty to render and all the fat kills the beefy flavor. Snake river farms has it right. 50/50 wagyu/ black angus.

    I hadn't considered the point about the fat, @The Cen-Tex Smoker .  And $1K is probably not too far off the mark, @smokingal .  I didn't realize that is what the flats were going for.  Sheesh.  I would say 'morbid curiosity' probably sums it up just about right for me, too.
