OT - Ooni has a new model pizza oven
Ooni has just announced their newest model called the "Koda", a gas only oven that is more RoccBox looking (no chimney stack) than their previous models;
Weighs only 20 pounds and pre-order intro price is only $299 (no idea what they will set the actual release date price at tho so this may be some significant savings or not much savings at all).

OK, that's kinda cool and the price is right if you want easy portability.
I like the wide burner tube in the back instead of the center turbo blaster on the Roccbox.
Pizza peel is another $25.00, not included at the $299 price.
Claim it will ship in late March.
***carry bag not included either.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
That looks quite a bit like the RB. Even their peel looks like the one RB has.
Dimensions are hard to tell, but it looks like it may be pretty short vertically, which would probably rule out cooking anything aside from pizza. Still at that price point it’ll be tough to beat in this space."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike -
saw the commercial for it earlier today. Looks pretty cool and that is a great price if it performs (no reason to think it won't)

Looks cool -
Looks like a 3D model rather than an actual product so it could take a while.

Saw these today at the Home show. Not in action but displayed. Sales person said 20# and it appears to me that the opening is plenty large enough to place some cast iron sear plates etc for cooking other stuff. Think she said 250 or 295 can’t remember. Not shabby.

Interesting design. My question is does the stone heat up in 15 min, I like a hot stone to cook the bottom while the top cooks also. I like the ease of setup. Would be nice to travel with to share pizza making with friends and familyNorthern New Jersey

Here's a brief hands-on review of the Ooni Koda from Wired:One point - the opening is actually tall enough to slide in a Lodge skillet which might be of use/interest to some.

Went to Ooni site yesterday. It said the Koda is in limited stock.
I clicked the online chat and asked if they were in stock and ready to ship now? Also asked if the add on pizza peel for the Koda was the 12" perforated model?
Their answer back...When you order, you will be notified when it ships.
and...yes, the Koda will accept a 12 pizza peel.
Their customer service still sucks. I asked him to reread the chat and please answer my questions. He said to send an email instead of using the chat...
I asked what the purpose of having the instant chat was on their website?
Was told it was to answer customers questions. I then asked why he could not answer basic questions? Again, he gave me an email address to send my questions.
