OT - Still Have Holiday Houseguest

My MIL is still here.  She rode in on her broom in mid December and isn’t flying home until mid January.  Maybe it’s me, but houseguests are welcome to stay as long as a typical fish lasts in the fridge.  Then they both stink.  It’s not like we don’t get along.  This is us playing tag in the yard:

I sure will be sad to take her to the airport in 10 days, 9 hours and 32 minutes to fly home.

when we bought our house we strategically set it up without a guest room.  they can visit they just cant stay.  the only people that stay now is my SIL on an air mattress in our office but the mattress might get a pin hole leak next time, you never know about those things.

    Yikes!

When we lived in Atlanta, relatives and friends of relatives would want to stay with us during their trip to/from Florida.

We established ground rules from the start:

"We would be delighted to help you with hotel reservations."

It's amazing how many of them became angry as if we were obligated to play host and hostess.

You might want to give it a try next year.  =)

I know my house turns into BJ central whenever my MIL is staying with us.  I've convinced SWMBO that it's the only thing we can do that doesn't make any sound loud enough to wake her mom up, and that she owes it to me for putting up with all of the BS.  It's a BJ for BS trade that I've been happy to make.    It's the only way I come out ahead.

I really like all my inlaws......except for one sister-in-law.  The rest are welcome anytime!

She must be a heavy, heavy sleeper if a bj doesn't wake her up...
    Guessing it's minimally invasive.

I think this is a viable option, maybe the only option, for Fred.
