Anyone have had this experience, and do I need to do anything to rectify?

Also noticed that the nest upright has worn the green enamal off the egg at the leg, exposing the ceramic behind the glaze.

I'm curious, do you do many high temperature cooks? Over 300 degrees?

The goo sweats are pretty common, particularly if the Egg ceramics absorbed lots of water from being in the rain, or high humidity. Dish soap, warm water, and a sponge will make it look bee-yoo-tee-ful again.

Egg stays in the garage, with door closed 95% of the time!

It's common  If it bothers you, a little simple green and a  wet sponge will take care of it while it's still fairly warm.

Agree with above- you can also pick up some BGE touch up paint

If you cook a lot of things like briskets and butts without a drip pan this can happen. The grease soaks in to the ceramics and high heat cooks can push it out

When my egg sweats grease, I wipe it off when I’m grilling at a higher temp. Bucket of water with a few rags usually does it at higher temps.
