Hahaha...they don't sit well, as past experience has shown my friend.  Not that you aren't an excellent cook or anything.  Guess I'm just a straight eater.

I'd try it. Just like any parent, I don't know how many times I've told my kid "How do you know you don't like it if you haven't tried it?" I'd be a hypocrite not to.

I always assumed that was generally limited to things you can buy in a market or order in restaurant.

This made me chuckle, I admit that seeing a food prepped from its raw form has made me unable to try it again.  My college roommate from MN came back with some chopped, ready-to-bread/fry "rocky mountain oysters", and I thought they were great (reminded me of breaded mushrooms).  Sometime later he brought back another batch, more directly "off the animal" and blood veins everywhere, I couldn't touch them after that.  
I could probably eat an isopod off the menu, but not now after seeing it bled out in icewater.  And I know this is based on emotion, can't help it.

This is one of those situations where I am glad that I am allergic to shell fish!
