I don’t have a dog. Would my cat benefit from such a bowl? Or my children?

It would probably be great for breakfast cereal or keeping soups warm.

@SGH could probably whip up a LOT of stiff peaks with that bowl.

My dog is going to have to stick with his Petsmart stainless steel bowls. He can eat from them or go on a diet.
  • I never knew I needed that until Yeti told me I did.  I ordered 8.  I don’t want to be in a position where I need it and don’t have it...

Went to order one, $50 is pretty decent price, but it is not vacuum insulated like my cups.  Totally bummed.

I took my two Corgis on a summer hike years ago, and as a thoughtful Master I brought their usual water dish, and a thermos full of ice-water.
They wouldn't drink out of it, the ice cubes freaked them out.  I fished them out, they drained the bowl and then chewed the ice cubes.  Dumb dogs.

I’ve taken up for Yeti for making these. They’ll sell a ton of them. I agree that it’s Bush League for it not to be insulated.

Changed my mind - I can sleep later and I love me some good Carolina sauce!

    Why you ask?

Because 'Merica, and because I can.   And most importantly, because Momma likes the way they look.

Sorry about the sleeping dog - it's his birthday and he partied a little too hard all day.

Yes, but a cheap dog bowl does EXACTLY the same job as a $50 dog bowl.

@spaightlabs Make sure you bring a 5 gallon bucket and some trash bags if you’re going far from any working plumbing!

I disagree somewhat. Back when I had a dog, I bought some nice stainless bowls. The bottom was so thick that you could use a mallet to knock out the ice. A few hard swings on the bottom would do the trick. The $10 stainless bowls couldn’t stand the abuse. Also, the heavy bottomed bowls didn’t tip over. They were well worth the $30 each I paid 17 years ago.
