 I don't see a lot of for sale or trade posts. Is it ok?

For example say I have a set of XLBGE pizza half stones. Like new in the boxes. Would trade them for a single(or 2) XLBGE mates or shelves. Where would someone post a topic like this?

 This is bad but reminds me of when I was mowing apartments in another life. there were balled up panties in the flower beds by a building occasionally, we finally realized somebody’s dog was eating them!

@jimdgreat1, I have what you are looking for and would make the trade.  I upgraded one of my XLs to the new bands about a year ago or so (cant remember exactly).  The old bands, with the mates still on them, have been sitting on the side of my yard since.  They might be a little weathered, but should be ok otherwise.  PM me if you want to make the trade, I can go out and get a pic.

Op - The guys are messing around because selling stuff / self promotion is a sore subject when it happens.  Not applicable to your post - you're fine.

That said, I may be alone in this, but I'm not much of a fan of the side tables.   They seem rickety to me.

I know. He was the first to actually post a helpful response. 

A bunch of the seasoned/high post-count eggheads here get the jibes about free t-shirts, ManGrates, firewires, etc. but others may not. It makes us all look better if we let them in on the fun too. THEN tear into them!

There was a thread a few years ago where we offered up stuff for free. It was pretty cool. I remember giving and receiving several items but can’t remember what they were. Lol

So, the real answer is, there is no thread or other organized way this is handled.  

Generally speaking, people that come here to sell things get shjt on pretty quickly when it’s clear (or even suspected) that they’re promoting a business.  If the business is already ‘known and respected’ to the mob here, then they tend to get a pass.  The other exception seems to be if it’s something really cool.  Hard to predict the reactions, people have bad days sometimes.

If you’re just a guy that has or wants something, post it just like you did.  I suspect it was the asking if it was ok that got this train rolling, ironic as that may be.  There are occasionally threads like yours - I have an extra one of these, or I am looking for one of those.  Half the time people offer to send you something for really cheap, generous bastards around here.

Last bit, it helps if you’re an active around here so people don’t just think you’re here to sell things.

just seen an earlier post of yours with regard to the welded handle, that large is a 2002 and that band was only made 1 year. keep the hinge oiled well on that one as they were prone to springing sideways if the hinge tightens up. the parts are all different now, if it springs or a spring breaks you need to replace the whole band

I remember those from late 2016. started one Friday night and kind of went viral. I didn't win anything but I had fun trying. Would love to see the Friday Night Giveaways return.

Mine doesn't have springs. It has a latch. Does that make it earlier?
