I can’t stop cooking these.  This site has completely changed my mind on home cooked steaks. 

Loving my new Rutland as well, the egg is maintaining temperature way better than with the old felt gasket.

I am with John, reverse sear for the win on anything about 3/4 an inch thick, or thicker.

Tomahawk's are gimmicks btw, unless you like paying for the added bone weight and/or planning on gnawing on it after dinner.

I agree with this...i will get a bone in from time to time minus the naked handle

They are absolutely gimmicks, but how else will I take my obligatory picture of it hanging off the egg?
