To each his own! This is our '95 which we bought brand new for my wife to drive to her high school teaching job. Before that she drove 1 Datsun 260Z and then 2 Mazda RX-7's. Since she retired right there soon after we only have 16k on the odometer. It has only felt rain once since we owned it. While it is no trailer queen it still is one pampered Vette.

    Bunch of illiterates, smh.

Since we're talking new, I've got to go with the Camaro.  Honorable mention to the Dodge, some nice styling on that car.

There are a lot of modern muscle cars that are awesome but I would have to go with the Shelby Mustang GT350 for several reasons. #1 it sounds freaking awesome. Listening to it reminds me a bit of carbereution day at Indy. Steering and suspension are superior. Plus it is an extension of the original muscle car (I realize we could argue that one).

Cadillac quality sucks. Feel free to disagree. Pos in my experience. Never even close to German quality.

Me too, but that’s a tick over his budget. And mine. I had a buddy who’s brother still has an original.

I’d take a used Cadillac CTS-V over any of the newer models that were mentioned. It surely fits the bill of American muscle.

A small emblem, that often gets overlooked in the sedan friendly world, but a big deal.

It's hidden identity would be a dealbreaker for some in that category.

This was my choice. It's a 2010 RT Classic. My first car was a 1970 Challenger SE with a 318 in 1974.  We took the 318 out and dropped a 383 Mag. in. Loved that first car. This one is great and would run circles around the 1970 but it's just not the same. I was then and still am now a MOPAR person.

    Nice ride.

A manual V8 Mustang in higher RPMs with Flowmaster exhaust is one of the best sounds, just beautiful.
