Pork Belly Burnt End Question

Been reading all the threads on Pork Belly Burnt Ends and I have to try this. One question, do you all make this as your main course of a meal or just as appetizers?

Enjoying life on my LBGE in Tell City, IN. Cheers!!

I think most here probably use them as apps - they're about the right size for that.

But it's not hard to make a meal out of a batch if you want, because they're so rich.  I've definitely done that.

I go with apps as well but you can scale the quantity up if you wish.  As @JohnInCarolina notes, be aware of the rich flavor profile.  they will fill you up in short order.
Enjoy the cook and follow-on eats.

Apps, for sure. They are so rich. Something about all that butter and brown sugar.

On second thought, they'd work for a desert too.

It's difficult not to make them a main course. They are too delicious to stop eating just as an appetizer.

I do it as a main course. I’ve never had any complaints.

I always cook the belly from Costco in three pieces, until an internal temp of 145 with whatever rub you want, then I cube it and add bbq sauce of choice and some butter, back on the egg for 30 min and serve.

Do you cover the pan with foil or leave uncovered?
