You should just spring for the sub zeros

Easy fix.
1. Buy fridge/freezer
2. Have them installed
3. Build house around them.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

A few folks who I've known with high-end refrigeration in their kitchens (incl Sub-Zero) regretted going with those products. Because of frequent repair issues, and quibbling about warranty coverage, etc.
Any particular reasons for going with these?

We did a complete demolish and rebuild of a kitchen in our 100 year old home. Learned a lot, from doing a ton of research.
The final decision was made on appliances by asking the manager at the appliance store we bought from a simple question: "What brand gives you the least problems with both customers, and manufacturers?
We bought those.

LG. Our kitchen is smaller, just the design of the homes back then, not a gathering place as the kitchens today are built, just a function of food storage and prep.
Odd though, even small, everyone still congregates there during dinner parties. It is also where we keep the wine fridge.....which is the only appliance we have in the kitchen not an LG.
Thus far we have been well pleased, with form and function, no issues with any appliance."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

So are people gathering in the kitchen or are they gathering near the wine fridge? That, my friend, is the question.

It is fun, we lose a bit to the crowd sampling, but it is all good."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Chris I don't envy you. We began our kitchen gut remodel not too long ago. Also decided to remodel all 3 bathrooms and tile too...you know because having no kitchen whatsoever wasn't enough of a daily obstacle
We are replacing every appliance in the kitchen. The Frigidaire deep freezer we have works great, holds -10°F with no struggle and has the "extreme freeze" feature (it just enables the compressor even if it's at temp to help freeze large quantities)...but, we're getting rid of this also. I'm not familiar with your exact product but, we've been pleased with residential Frigidaire and Whirlpool products. I'm in the process of reviving a True RIF which will be our deep freezer but, will reside on the lanai along with our True RIC.

We installed a Subzero Refrigerator, Gaggenau oven and hob and Bosch dishwasher in 1988. The original Bosh dishwasher was replaced two years ago and the Gaggenau ceramic glass hob has been replaced with a Gaggenau gas hob during a recent remodel. The Subzero refrigerator and Gaggenau oven have required very minor repairs which were performed by an authorized service representative at a very competitive expense. If and when the time presents itself to purchase new appliances we will continue to be loyal to these brands.IL

Blake, I’m not looking forward to the process but the end result will be great. I moved 6 months ago and the house location is super, wouldn’t move if I won a million bucks.
But the owners didn’t live here and only came down a couple months a year to visit family from Ohio. Read they didn’t upgrade anything and it’s a 93 build....
Had the ceilings retextured an entire house painted prior to move in, kitchen next and bathrooms and deck renos to follow. I’m going to be house poor but its changed my life already. Wish I could have done it sooner.Jacksonville FL
