Simple Chicken and Pasta

This never really happened because I didn't take photos, but if it had really happened, here's what I did:
Marinate boneless breasts in Marzetti Caesar salad dressing for 4 hours.
Prepare a pasta sauce using 8 crushed garlic cloves, one minced shallot, and 1/2 cup of minced sweet onion. Simmer in a mixture of olive oil and butter until soft. Do not brown.
Grille the chicken raised direct. The dressing coating the meat develops a nice char.
Once cooked, slice the chicken in strips and add with the sauce to a batch of Penne pasta. Add a 1/2 cup of finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Stir well.
Serve in pasta bowls and watch basketball.
If it had happened, it would have been delicious.

If anyone's interested, @Zippylip did a chicken and pasta dish a couple of years ago that was outstanding. I still do it from time to time. The pics in his post succumbed to Photobucket's extortion demands, but I did find one (his pic, not mine)...
