Not from scratch but pretty good. Used half heavy cream and half 2% milk because I had no whole milk. Added a large jalapeño and some sharp cheddar and a little bacon.

I had it twice this weekend - good stuff. Do you add kernels of corn? - my fam is split on that debate.

I was ok with it til I saw you using Leroy's TX mold. I use a Wyoming mold.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

More often than not, cornbread earns the SOP my friend. Two pans of it gets the DSOP.

Small kitchen store local in Galveston. But here is the brand info. Not sure of the exact material but it's not 100% cast iron as it's not that heavy.
