They’re both glad they didn’t have to play UCF.
UCF is delighted they didn't play either big boy and loose by 50.  Because they would've.
Auburn was gonna destroy them too.
  • I agree. There just isn’t enough risk to hedge it. If Dawgs were the favorite I’d play the money line for a few units but I think I’ll let it ride and hope for the best.

Gotta let it ride. Only $50 invested

That would be desirable.  UCF would be drubbed by either team.  I appreciate your underdog history.

  • Lit out of curiosity do you have ties to UCF? I can’t speak for bama, but as a dawg fan, I can say I’m glad we didn’t play them. For one, that would mean we went to the damn peach bowl, again. And for two, we would have nothing to win and a whole lot to lose.

Both teams have very good defenses and solid coaching.  UGA has the better QB and the better running attack.  Chubb/Michel are a record setting tandom.  Blankenship is money.  Georgia wins despite officials catering to Saban.  23-17. Get used to it.  Based on recruiting classes, UGA takes control of the SEC.  Saban is the horse that has seen the barn.
What makes you think that about Saban? When everyone counted him out this past week, he showed he was still king of college football. I agree, UGA is a great football team, and should be for years to come, but Alabama will be playoff contenders as long as Saban is at the wheel. Don’t let one great year skew your thinking. The Dawgs have a lot of great talent coming in, but also have 31 seniors. Alabama has been doing it for the past decade.

And if you hedge, you’re counting on UGA losing. You seem like a put your money where your mouth is kinda guy.

They beat Auburn ( I take it you didn’t watch that game from your comments) Auburn beat Bama. You think either team strums UCF BY 50? That sounds as ridiculous as the crap Pete spews.
  • He is most definitely the king of college football over the past years but I don’t recall everyone counting him out against Clemson. Our best hope was that the committee got druNk and let Ohio st in instead of bama.

  • True Double. Sometimes the guaranteed money is hard to turn down but it’s only 50 so I’d be more upset with myself if the dawgs win and I hedged on bama. I’m just pissed I was such a tight ass from the start and only bet 50.

Thanks for proffering the inherent bias.  No way you guys are competitive with either team, but nice try.

UCF would have made a good game with either team. I would have put money against the Dawgs.

Any of you going to the game?
  • Gotcha. I can understand your stance. You have the right to be proud and should be. Maybe they can up their schedule a bit and get some respect next time they run the table. Sucks to go undefeated and still have to wonder what could have been.

We won games against 4 top 25 teams this year and would have beat the Dawgs. Not sure if you watched the Auburn game but we should have beat them by atleast 21.

  • I don’t bet with my heart. After about 10-12 years I learned the hard way all that does is get you dinner with the bookie more often. Of course betting on ga at 35-1 is my heart but that’s a different story.

So the bowl games are biased, political and ignorant of schedule and opponents.

  • I really don’t know. My wife is willing to turn her head to the ticket prices but unfortunately she is in Houston at MD Anderson with her mom who is losing a battle with cancer and I just don’t think it’s the best idea unless she can come home for the day and go with me. Likely no, but I do have a line on tickets if something changes before Sunday.

Seems like the current system is pretty messed up. Just like you are saying UCF would get blown out Auburn was supposed to blow them out also. We beat a healthy Auburn worse than the score reflected. We would have hung in there if not beaten either team in the championship.

Larceny and ginger. But either way neither of those teams would have dominated UCF.
  • You may be right. I can’t argue because I don’t know for sure. What I do know is Auburn was not healthy for that game and played a pretty bad game. I know they turned the ball over 3 times at least. They won every other aspect of the game except rushing yards i believe. And of course the one that mattered, the final score.
