Another "is it safe" thread
I pulled a rack of BB ribs out of the freezer Sunday and threw them in the fridge with plans to smoke them Tuesday. Well Monday night I came down with the crud/ flu. I have been in bed until now. I pulled myself up to watch basketball, thinking I sould have just stayed in bed. But that's when I realized they were in there. I don't see anyway to do them tomorrow. So by Friday should I just take the safe rout (since my immune system is alreay depleted)?
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

I would be more than happy with those ribs if you shipped them to me today in a styrofoam cooler and didn’t get them till Monday next week.XL, Small, Mini & Mini Max Green Egg, Shirley Fab Trailer, 6 gal and 2.5 gal Cajun Fryers, BlueStar 60" Range, 48" Lonestar Grillz Santa Maria, Alto Shaam 1200s, Gozney Dome, Gateway 55g Drum

See if they smell like rotten eggs. If not youre good

Also note that for ribs/brisket this is more of a flavor issue than a "kill someone" issue, since you are cooking them to past well done (> 180F), and killing any frisky bugs.
This is more of an issue for stuff that you cook less.westernbbq said:See if they smell like rotten eggs. If not youre goodThe Cen-Tex Smoker said:They are fine no matter what but if they are in cryo vac you could roll a month or more.(now only 16 stone)

Just don't have romaine with them and you'll be fine.
