I was soooooo lucky. My wife pulled a cashmere sweater out of the drawer, this morning, and it had a couple holes in it from age.... and she decided to get rid of it, and it was her last one....I too, had been racking my brain on what to get her for Christmas, and googled Cashmere Sweaters......the rest is history. Glad to see others out there have had the same problem as I did, and I am really glad I could help."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

@YukonRon - you may want to buy a lottery ticket. That and a second mortgage with that Disney trip on the horizon.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

When we lived in Tennessee, I always was sent to Blue Ridge Diamond Center for some reason around Christmas. Sandy, the owner always had, "She'll like this," for me. I came to find out a lot of women went in and pointed, Sandy remembered and when husband came in they got the same, "She'll like this."
Made life simple. By the way she never even suggested a diamond.
BRDC was a great place to buy the right gift.
I remember working with a man who gave his wife a mop bucket. "It will make her life easier," he said. He was still alive after the first as was the man who gave her an iron.

You think this was by accident Ron? That sounds carefully orchestrated.
Hope Disney goes ok - you're a good man who loves his wife. I'm hoping my days of standing in line and spending $ at the rodent kingdom are over.

For @YukonRon "Happiness is Disney in the rear-view mirror!" Hammered home after 6 days within the Disney complex save a day trip to Cape Canaveral and the NASA experience which I would recommend to anyone who is in the area and never visited.
Gotta admit the kids loved it and when living in SoCal (95 miles from Disneyland) it was an easy day-trip and enjoyable. The intensity of the follow-on experience was definitely over-the-top. But to each their own.
Good luck.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -

Latest greatest Ipad, the damn "Pen" that HAS to go with it, cases for said Ipad and the damn pen, Starbucks gift card, some candy, and some of the usual suspects. Shopping is done, wrapping is done, all I'm looking forward to is smoking a bacon-wrapped turkey breast.

My strategy for the last few years is to get something that costs a lot and has no practical value and I don't understand. This usually leads me to jewelry, which seems to go over well. -
I am lucky! In the past I have bought her clothes. She returned every single thing that I got her. “Not my style” she said.
Then I went to Jewlery. “You spent how much?!?!” Everything was returned (except the diamond studs).
She told me she wanted experiences, not gifts. So that is what we do.
We go out and see and do things. We travel.
Of course there will be a few things under the tree for her: 4 reams of paper (1 cent each with rebate), replacement printer ink, some sharpies, a travel water bottle that says “today I choose to be happy” and a few other tiny things not worth mentioning.
The best part is she will be super excited about getting those few things!--------------------------------------------------
