Same thing I get her every year. Nothing.

I'm generous 364 Days a year,I take that day off ( just don't let her know I said that) seriously she did give me a list of What Not to buy her, which was basically everything I got her last yearVisalia, Ca @lkapigian

Something she had mentioned she would like to have for when we go camping, so I know it is something she will like. Plus, it is not an appliance, clothing or perfume, all things that are on the do not buy list.

She usually gets herself something, this year 2 coats and other clothes. I did find a few other items so she has a pile of presentsNorthern New Jersey

I couldn't touch this thread with any reasonable input. I am beyond receiving any worthwhile suggestions. Whatever I do get I am religious (sorry 'bout that @nolaegghead) with retaining the receipts as there is a strong probability that I will miss the target. But like a fool I press on. Truth be told, not everything gets the seal of rejection but there's hope...:)

I bought a vacuum one year. Still paying for that.
My strategy for the last few years is to get something that costs a lot and has no practical value and I don't understand. This usually leads me to jewelry, which seems to go over well.Maybe your purpose in life is only to serve as an example for others? - LPL

How about that $1000 tin can from Tiffanys?

How about u @nolaegghead? Interested on what you purchased for your wife.
-
I bought the wifey a pair of Louboutin shoes for her birthday a few years ago. Ridiculously priced for a pair of shoes but she loves those things. They are like trophies for women. Buying jewelry gets old and predictable too.

Yep I bet you could have purchased another egg for what you paid for those shoes?

Well I am lucky enough for my better half to have a b day on the 20th and then xmas. I tried one year for the Happy Christmas or Merry Birthday, only getting her 1 gift. You can imagine how well that went over. This year its a gold bracelet from Henri Bendal, and then a hand bag from Tori Burch. My wallet is crying.Midland, TX XLBGE

I guess I'm lucky my wife is low key and pratical: small handheld vacuum, vacuum sealer/bags, slippers, orbital sander. I'm usually really random on gifts--last year it was $1,800 in camera equipment. This year...more like woman, go vacuum some stuff and then seal up my leftover meat!Located Middle GA

@DoubleEgger - you may want to rethink the design: add a yuge bathroom, lounge and sleeping quarters and you are home free.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
