Well my wife stayed up for the whole game last night and the Dodgers won. The games the Astros won she packed it in around the 7th inning. I love the drama of most of these games...a 7 game WS is always preferred and to see the extra innings and lead changes gas been crazy. While i had no dog in this fight, it was nice to see houston get a title.
The 2001 WS between yankees and diamondbacks was special. I was at games 1 and 7 and game 7 came down to bottom of 9th, 2 outs full count. Johnson came in on 1 day of rest to close and gonzo hit the bloop that got the win
If anyone out there collects sports illustrated beyond the ss issue, look at the 4th page in the comemorative issue. Two page photo of crowd with a burly dude in the center about to catch craig counsells bottom of first hr in game 1. That dude is me....once a million lifetime deal. I shouldve bought a lottery ticket that nite....it was a saturday

Unfortunately I missed game 7, as we didn't roll back in until midnight, but I'm so happy for Houston.
8 on their roster played here for the Houston affiliate single A Quad City River Bandits, who won the league this year. The same number played on then 2014 Cardinals affiliate Quad City River Bandits. They too both won the single A and WS. Houston put in work to get where they're at today, much respect.
