    If you have a Go Pro, I recommend you buying a Gimbal to connect it to, incredible image stabilization.

    I decided on the hero 5 session. I like the size factor. picked it up on ebay for $80 under MSRP. Thinking about time lapsing some cooks. 

    We have our honeymoon at the end of the month in mexico. Thats the primary reason for the purchase.

    The small factor GoPro cant go very deep and there arent any add on cases to solve that.  We learned that before our Summer Beach Trip as my kid has one of the small ones.  She was fine snorkeling but for Scuba we shared mine.

    Look at SandMarc for some good accessories- Water/ Selfie Pole and Filters.

    I also got a Gorrilla Tripod for attaching it places.    I used it to get this time lapse sunset

    Videos don't load. Otherwise you would have seen a couple of hummingbirds going at it the other day

    So -- Scuba.  I used to have a pretty sweet camera/housing set up, but gave it up for the gopro.  It's just too easy and convenient.  Chews a TON of memory, though.

    Offshore fishing, SCUBA, I put it in crab traps to see how they get in to make them more productive, by bird nests, and out by my chicken coop to see how the raccoon was tripping the trap without being caught. I have also used it for some time lapses which are really cool to watch.

    I thought about getting some type of action camera for my videos, but I think I'll put the money towards something else, with a larger sensor.

    You know one of my favorite features is the 'burst' on the GoPro.  I get such great action shots when its taking 10 images in 2 seconds.

    I used to do that, but now I always film video and use the GoPro App to extract frames for stills.  You'll find the quality is the same, and you have a better chance of catching the action...   just let the camera run.

    Never thought of using the app in that method- I know using their software to do that blows.

    Yes, I don't bother with their software.  It's a pain to deal with.
    The App functionality is great.  Scroll around to a frame you like, and then hit the picture icon. It will then bring up a higher resolution version of the frame you just scrolled to and you can save it.  You can frame them.  Good quality.
