OT - burner for turkey fryer?
My turkey fryer had an annoying battery operated safety valve on the hose that I got sick of. So I replaced the old 5psi line with a 0-30psi steel braided hose and regulator.
Then I thought about changing the burner too, since I had a better hose and regulator. I have this currently:
King Kooker WKAF1B High Pressure Burner with Orifice Block https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047O3PRK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_DwgRzbQW5X353
And was thinking of replacing with this:
King Kooker WKAF2B Low Pressure Burner with Orifice https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047O3PSO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_SFgRzbR674EMD
Although the 6" burner is bigger, it's marked as a low pressure burner. The one I have in place now is supposedly a high pressure burner. Can't find any specs for either. Anyone have experience with either of these?
Or should I go ahead and spring for a 10" banjo burner , to make optimal use of the new regulator?

If low pressure means it doesn't sound like a jet engine, I would pass. I've fried turkeys when it's been windy out and since I do it where it's safe and open, I would be afraid the wind could f-with the flame too much.Love you bro!

Have seen 10" burners for less than $40 or so, seems like a wise way to go. I gave mine away when I bought the Camp Chef stove, it has 6" burners which flame wrap the Woks much better, don't think they are the best choice for turkey frying.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

If you're stepping into that arena cali, the Blichmann Hellfire seems to be preferred over the Bru Burner in the research(those who have used both), hodge podging an all grain setup. Price is identical, $150.

I bought an electric, with thermostat and timer. Breaks down easily for cleaning, easy for draining, excellent for storage.
Will never go back to gas burners for deep frying turkey, again."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

If only two per year why worry. Just keep what you have and buy other toys you may use more often.I XL and 1 Weber Kettle And 1 Weber Q220 Outside Alvin, TX-- South of Houston
