    I don't think @Jeremiah is going to let go of that Moss Beer he enjoys so much, long enough, to get him a big ol' box of cabernet. He likes them YPAs, or whatever that initial beer is called.

    I don't know what I drank last night. Something Napa. I mentioned it today during our marathon driving and apparently the guy who brought it has two cellars in his home. That particular bottle was $170. I forgot to ask for the name after that.

    We ended up going to our favorite pizza joint for dinner.  It's not where we were headed when we left the house, but traffic was so bad in the direction we wanted to go - due to the long lines at a gas station extending out into multiple lanes - that we called an audible.  I usually get a glass of chianti with pizza, but because of the day and my respect for @YukonRon, I went for the only cab they had by the glass.  

    It was listed as J Lohr Riverstone Cabernet from Paso Robles.  Using the google, I can't find any such wine.  I never saw the bottle.  Oh well.  It was decent.

    Got a feeling @YukonRon will be most pleased with the effort. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't have a case of J Lohr Riverstone Cab (from Paso Robles) in his basement.  ;)

    Thank you all for your participation in the observance of Cabernet day, designated so by Congress or maybe just winos, whatever. It was an astounding success, but, now I have to go and place an order for a lot more for my wine rack.
    Such is life.
    Pass Robles is an up and coming wine region, in fact, a couple of blends from some recently released vintages were selected by various publications as wine of the year, winery of the the year, and venter.
    J Lehr has a good reputation for wine. It is not unusual for theirs to be rated in the 90+ range.
    I hope you enjoyed your selection.
