    I had a plumber put in a gas water heater in a rental house. He had to widen the doorway for the new tank and frame in a new door. Well, later that day I go in to finish installing some base board trim in the kitchen with a pneumatic nail gun. I start installing and keep smelling gas. I call the plumber and he says it's from installing the new tank and the smell will go away. The smell is fairly strong and I can hear what sound like a leak but could just be the water heater running. I start inspecting his work and find that he cut the gas line when he widened the door. Gas had been leaking for 2 or 3 days. Meanwhile he used an electric saw, hammer to frame the new door and my pneumatic gun definitely throws a spark. I shut the gas off and aired out the house in a hurry.
