Went to get a couple of spuds to cook tonight an this was lurking in the middle of the bag....
Weight was 1140g or 2 pounds 8 ounces....

@Eggcelsior, sharp eye! Yeah, I've converted completely to using grams and millilitres, so much easier. Never understood this scale (it was an as is gift) as it provides the same "weight" wether using the g or mil "unit".. it is a scale not a measuring cup, wonder why it has mil?

That is a manly spud right there-units be da-ned.  Somehow the metric gig provides some fluidity to measuring.

1mL of water = 1gm. I guess that's why?

@Eggcelsior - agreed that 1ml water = 1 gram of water, and a cheap kitchen scale is close enough. But if your recipe calls for 100ml of olive or coconut oil, which weighs about 91g, might be a different result. Thanks for your thoughts, always thought the scale Unit was a bit weird.
