OT - need a new gasser

I'm looking to get a new gasser for my Dad. I know, I know I should talk him into an Egg but he's a stubborn old cuss and doesn't want to have to mess around with carrying charcoal now that he's getting up there in years. He's had a high end Webber for the past few years but wasn't pleased with the quality of them this time around and is looking for other options. Any suggestions would be appreciated, price is not as much of an issue as quality is. He's been good to me so I don't mind dropping some cash to get the best for him.
One other note is that he lives on the beach in Rhode Island so this grill is going to be exposed to a VERY salty environment. (I know this is another reason to go ceramic and get him an egg, but like I said he's a stubborn old cuss).

I don't currently own one, but I have had Modern Home Products (MHP) in the past.
I really like their models that have the cast stainless steel burners. -
I have a Fire Magic that I've had for over 20 years and I'm 2 miles from the coast. If money is not an issue check out DCS and Viking.XLBGE, LBGE, MBGE, SMALL, MINI, 2 Kubs, Fire Magic Gasser

I know a guy with a Blaze. He said, "Well it was expensive and is built nice so it must be good, but I don't use it much." Not really a ringing endorsement, but it looks nice enough to me. My Weber Spirit has been going strong for years, and I now use it for griddle cooking until I get a Blackstone.

When I cook on a gasser it's a 6 burner Weber Summit. Not the most expensive grill out there but probably one of the best in the reasonable price range. However, if your dad is looking to step up from his Weber to something more solid, I would say Kalamazoo. They make a mixed gas and wood grill that is pretty amazing, but your looking at somewhere around 15 to 25,000 clams, as in $$$$$. This particular grill is pretty neat. The wood goes into to drawers with grated bottoms below the main grate. The wood is ignited by the gas and then can either burn on it's own or along with the gas.

Maybe @SGH could help you. He's quite knowledgeable on that end of things.

I don't know what's local to you, but a friend of mine bought a Bull grill that sits at the coast year round and it's in great condition after 3 years.Love you bro!

Try to find Cumberland Grills. Very well made HG stainless with bronze burners. Excellent heat control, and excellent air flow. Designed to do all the different types of cooking. Moderately priced for the quality you will get. Very solid piece of equipment."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

If he is not happy with the quality of a high end Weber, I'm not sure he can be satisfied.Upstate SC

I was looking at the Broilmaster P3 before I went with an Egg. Natural gas, and the special deflector grate for indirect cooking. Will set you back close to 2k with all the bells & whistles.

I have a saber grill next to my green egg. Use it for quick cooks or veggies when the egg is full of meat. Happy with it so far. High quality drop in grill.Grand Rapids , Mi

Napoleon could be an appealing option. Many models feature an infrared burner capable of volcanic temperatures. Made in Canada. I've got the P500RSIB.

I found a very lightly used holland for a great price a while back. It's really like a outdoor oven, a one trick pony. BUT, it's kind of hard to screw up most cooks.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

How about a Hestan grill. highly recommended for harsh conditions and Resturant use.
