First water-to-table post of the year - kind of...  I will keep this short and get to the details.

Today was the first day at the boat. We opened it today: scrubbed the walls, took inventory, flushed the fresh water tank, onboarded the rods, cleaned everything, fired everything up on it and all was well.
Went out to get a couple of things and grab lunch. Was sitting there at a pizza shop and a guy came in an started to chat with the guy behind the counter.  The guy behind the counter asked how they did  "It was a good day trip". "Great! Got any for me?" Then the other guy went back out and carried in a bag.

I could not resist...  I walked up and asked if he had any more, and he did. "2 pounds please."  He came back with a bunch in a bag. I handed him a $20, although he only asked for $16.
Found out they left on the trip yesterday and fished overnight and morning. So they were < 24 hrs old. So fresh......  no egg, but honestly the best scallops I ever had.

I know you all like good fresh food, so here are the pictures:
