    Curious - these must be stamped blanks that you are purchasing by all the holes in that  piece. Do they have many shapes and sizes plus types of metal available? Can a guy just buy one or two blanks? Care to share the source?

    @RRP  My goodness, I'm almost offended :)

    I buy 2x1/8 bar stock and grind the shapes by hand. Add holes with the drill press etc. No idea where you would buy blanks.

    Edit: did a longer reply with more steps but the :) I added from my phone seemed to be screwing it up.

    Sorry! I did not mean to. I just saw all those holes in the handle area and thought those allowed optional types of handles to be added for the creativeness.

    I was worried my edit wouldn't get there in time. Not at all offended. Take it as a compliment that you thought that be the case.

    Just started taking some knife making/blacksmithing classes. Nice looking piece. I'd vote for @lousubcap if you pinned me down.

    Extra cool making the knifes from scratch! There are knife blanks available such as this one:

    I'm wondering regarding your other comment about making sheaths. Have you looked into Kydex? I have 4 sheets of it and just haven't found the time to get started. From what I've seen it doesn't take long to custom form holsters, knife sheaths etc.

    @gmac, great gesture - Stand up move!  On my first brisket @YukonRon and @lousubcap went out of their way. Ron even gave me his phone number and offered to take a call at any time - despite dealing with a sick child at the time....  I agree there are many really helpful people on the forum but can't say enough about these two.

    Thanks @Ozzie_Isaac , though I don't hold a candle to these other guys.

    @lousubcap probably for my one. He's answered how to nail a brisket more times than I could count and detailed description too, everytime.

    Man, I could name 10-15 users that have not only been helpful to me, but to many others on here. This is tough... Will report back

    After looking through these posts, one guy not mentioned yet is @Mickey. Add him to the list of the previously mentioned.
