The only warning I ever received about this site was that it leads to walletcide.

I get that if I specify https:// instead of http:// in the forum's URL. Are you using an extension that would force a secure connection, or maybe Firefox does that by default now?

I often get the warning when I click on a result returned by google, for example I typed this into the url window "eggfest georgia mountain eggheadforum.com", then clicked on the second hit found, bam...
I'd just click on 'Advanced', then 'Proceed to ?????.com (unsafe)'.canuckland -
Not exactly the same thing, but one night my brother emailed me about something he had seen on my computer and asked me to send him the link. I did, and he opened it at work the next day. It was the Naked Whiz's site, and that resulted in a visit for him by his companies porno officer. He said that about a month before that, he and some of his co-workers were talking about mistakes made while surfing the net. Someone said always type into a search engine what you are looking for, do not do a straight xyz.com because you may end up where you don't want to be. They gave an example of WhiteHouse.com. The actual site is a .gov. Some fool didn't believe that and types it in, and BAM, there comes the porn police.

Firefox 52 has implemented warning for websites that use a username/password without encryption.
https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2017/01/20/communicating-the-dangers-of-non-secure-http/
This site is an example of that. While this site can be browsed via HTTPS, the certificate it is signed with was issued for *.vanillacommunity.com, not for *.eggheadforum.com. In other words, it doesn't have its own custom certificate, it relies on Vanilla's default cert.
Moral of the story, don't use the same username/password combo here you use for important stuff (email, banking, etc).They/Them
