Arrived today. Bit flimsy for pizza but looks good for keeping the plate setter clean.

I go to RD and get their largest round serving trays by the pack. Somewhat less sturdy than an actual pan, but, strong enough to catch the drippings to keep the PS clean. After several uses, I throw them in the recycle bin.

  • Looks similar to the CGS one
Similar but the cgs is smaller and made of stainless
Yes, the CGS offerings are stainless steel. The aluminum pans will melt at around 1100 degrees so you may want to keep that in mind.
Yes indeed, but I can't think of any reason to have a platesetter and a drip pan in at 1100*
True. But the lump can easily get up that temperature even if the dome isn't that hot.

Got to RD, get their cheap HD Foil serving pans, 1) Much less expensive 2) For those that have bought the XL stainless drip pans from CGS, it fits perfectly 3) Reusable should you want to wash them, and 4) Totally recyclable.

I never searched for them on line. I just walk in the facility each time I need knives, large purchases, beef short ribs, etc., and buy a few packs at a time.

I believe on some of the items each location orders for themselves the material they sell.

They also sell lump charcoal they have a different supplier for them every few months.

The only other lump I will ever buy other than Rockwood is Carbon del Sur, only when I can find it at RD. They have not had the last few times I have been there though. Right now they have Royal Oak.

I will find a part number and post it for you when I get home.

No problem, I have made myself a reminder on my cell to do so. I forget much these days. Even posted it to an alarm.
