In my experience, you do much better taking the high-road vis a vis your competition and the market-place.  But I'm old and clearly this must be the latest new normal approach.  FWIW-

You really can't knock them for solving the big issues. Hell look at each one of those features. Basically they're making all the accessories we all have bought, factory. BGE needs to wake up to this. Ford had the market cornered...Until Chevrolet came along and started changing their models every year. Henry Ford said "you can have any color you want as long as its black"...

I bid on a KJ small at a fundraiser last week. Played with it a little and seemed no different then my BGE. Went for almost full price and I didn't really need it so I got a blackstone instead!!

It may be sturdy, but I can't get past how weak the nest looks.  Doesn't seem to sturdy or strong in appearance.  Isn't that the same top ring that the old mini's had the problems with?
I prefer green.

No the old minis sat in the ring. These have a gap. But I completely agree. They need help with their nests. Fugly.

Both the new Big Joe and Classic will be on sale in mid-March as will the gasket (as you mentioned) and the new vent cap.

Lifetime warranty sounds cool! I still wonder at what price for "lifetime" unless they put wiggle room in that warranty.

I like my eggs, but I have to admit KJ  has been more innovative with accessories the past few years.  Divide & Conquer and the Joetisserie for example.  Innovation usually turns heads.
