So are we still friends after the Women's March on Washington thread?

Drinking and politics go together like Tip O'Niel and Ted Kennedy.
Thinking it went the way of the buffalo. Missed the thread after posting earlier in the day, and did not catch the media event covering the women's march, as My Beautiful Wife and I were out and about, scouting places for our daughter's wedding. I had zero interest in watching anyway, tired of the election, and nothing these women had to say will be a reason to impeach Trump.
Missed some of the UK game as well, but caught some of the second half at a Mexican Place, while getting fit shaced on margaritas.
Kind of thought JIC's thread would be a fun one. Thread life of less than 24 hours, seems to indicate it was.
Hoping everyone is still ok. We are all still friends, right?

It's still there Ron.  Sinking, as it probably should.

It was about as much fun as a barrel of fish.

I'm good.  Dunno about other people.  They're probably fine.  This is the interwebs, after all.  Nobody ever takes things personally.

Didn't see what?  A reason these women had to impeach Trump?  They don't have anything that isn't intrinsic as far as I know.  The thread is still there is all I have.

No, not that, I did not see the thread. Poor vision, and small type of the hand held. My bad on that.

Does anyone ever really get upset with chatter in threads like these?

It wasn't about women. It was about Liberalism and continued denial they got their butts handed to them and, according to Madonna, blowing up the White House.

It was the same old folks doing what they do. Nothing overly exciting. I tapped out of it earlier in the day because it had gotten lame

I think folks have come to blows in some of the lump threads.

  • I do find it funny that this event folks insisted wasn't that interesting is now the lead story this morning in every major newspaper.  I have to admit it turned out to be a much bigger deal than I had thought it would be, with massive gatherings in tons of cities.

I just wish people would learn how to crop their post when they quote another post. *cough * cough @HeavyG. Nothing like seeing a mile long post with 50 shades of grey boxes in it. Otherwise, good morning everyone!

What makes me laugh is when folks insert their responses into someone else's gray area.  It's like comment incest.

Of course it is. It supports the narrative the left wing msm wants to propagate. Not that in this instance it's not worthy( it is), but it wouldn't have mattered if 500 people showed up. That would have been the story and it will bee 100% one sided.

You up don't get it do you. You really don't.

Tends to happen more on my Android phone. I found that certain punctuation tends to throw it into the grey zone. So hit quote, type first word without any kind of punctuation, press space to type next word. Usually works.

It happens to me on the apple devices when I have a loose thumb or finger and tap the grey. Once there you cannot leave without deletion on the apple stuff. Just annoying.

I'm in the luddite mode for the most part with the forum.  Very rarely will I access from my phone-too much effort and anything I have to offer can wait til access to a desktop.
That said, to answer the ?, we can still be friends as I doubt the march will be the last of the incendiary topics to surface here =)

@JohnInCarolina -  I have not read about the signal to noise ratio since my days keeping the world safe for democracy.  We lived by that and the relative positive differential the good 'ol USA provided-we worked hard to not tip the equation into the reverse direction.
