I like their music. They have a lot of good songs in my book.

WTH do women sleep with Mick Jaeger?

He is rich and famous. Did I mention that he was rich? You know the old saying; "The key to a woman's anus is money."

Been a Stones fan since 1964, was either the Beatles or the Stones. No idea why they are still going or want to keep going at their age, given how much they have abused themselves. Brian Jones was always looking to make the sound better and different, but could not handle the dope and booze. Bill Whyman stepped out years ago, but what ever floats your boat. Mick Taylor had to leave as he simply could not dumb down his guitar skills. Ron Woods is a good fit for this band of reprobates. Like AC/DC, there is a simplistic honest and real rhythm with their music, and for those so inclined, a whole new way to look at open tuning, in either open E or G.
They use the best back-up singers and usually stick to what they are good at. Music is always in the ear and heart of the listener, you may love them or hate them, but like many you may not like, hard to argue with success.

I do like some of their songs, but they are overrated.  I like Nickleback too.

Defintely successful, but some of their catalogue is unlistenable.

I struggled with Dylan when I was younger.  First album I had of his was Time Out of Mind.  I finally learned to appreciate his talent after 6 or 7 times through that album, now I really like him.  His singing has not gotten better over time, that is for sure.

Stones fan here. Along with pretty much all the rest from that era. My generation sucks in many ways. Music very much included.

Derivative for sure and very much a product of some executives idea of rock, but I do not turn off their music when it comes on the radio.... it was a deliberately trollish comment though ;)

Love the Stones.  Blues, rock, sometimes a little country.  Keith's guitar tunings are legendary and fast forwarded R & R.  Hall of Famers for a reason.  Memory Motel.

The Rolling Stones combining soul, rhythm and blues influences (and others) are the quintessential band in golden age of rock and roll.  In a five year period they wrote and produced LPs:  Satanic Majesties, Beggars Banquet , Let it bleed, sticky fingers and Exile on Main Street.  Look it up!  Their influence on rock and roll and todays music cannot be denied.  I get that you may not like music they produced in the late 70s' and on.  Sure.  But come on, warm up that old turntable in the basement, plop one of the above LP on and reconnected with one of the greatest bands we have ever had the pleasure to listen to.

Nickleback, honestly, with all due respect could not carry their guitar picks.
Deal.  I'll spin those you listed and see if my tune changes.

I grew up with Nirvana, Bush, Stone Temple Pilots, and Sublime.
