    True, I do not know him. However, I would say the same thing to anybody I know who made the same statement. It is wrong and should be called out as such. If he was trolling, that is the response he was trying to illicit.

    No, I am just trying to put to rest that this has absolutely nothing to do with religion. People here are posting as if this disproves what some may believe when this in fact has nothing to do with religion. Every single discovery there is some left-wing nut who claims it disproves everything the GOP says or believes( classifying them all the same, such as Nola here does) Same with the Higgs discovery.     It is not just "another mans rants"...  As a whole *I* find the conservative stance on social issues not aligning with *my* thoughts.  The comment @SGH made is a example of that.   In one post he both extols the greatness of being a god fearing man and disrespecting a an entire religion, wanting genocide, and treating people poorly just because of the way they look.  Kind of strange to me.   It is not just SGH, I see examples around me on the regular.

    I do not know if our new president is a racist/bigot, but he has emboldened and empower racists/bigots. In his best presidential word... "sad" 

    As to... "turned you from your convictions of what is right and what is wrong"   Nothing is further from the truth.  My convictions have not changed.   Conservative/Liberal are just different ways to get to right and wrong.

    The world is a scary place for you isn't it? Geez. You've never thought that every one of those idiots rioting is lockstep in the liberal camp. I wouldn't expect someone to change there stance over that. There are infinitely better reasons for them to come to their senses. Life is largely about perspective. I find the vast majority of out citizenry has none, one way or the other.
