Another boring Pork Butt smoke

20 lbs of pork butt that I got for 98 cents per lb awhile back. Smoked them up today with apple and peach. We gave most of it away to a pregnant friend who's on bed rest, but I did save enough for a coupla sammiches tonight.

Nothing too exciting, but I took pics regardless. ;)

There are two types of smoked pork butt in this world: Smoked Pork Butt, and Smoked Pork Butt done right. Yours are examples of the latter. Awesome cook, one of my most faves.

While I eat pulled poke year round....The cold weather is the optimum time for doing butts I think. Also good time for cuddling with my lady. Have a great cook. I gotta go!

Totally agree. Up here in the cold region, you can just leave a butt out there and enjoy the indoors for hours.

Boring? I think not. It's akin to the hippy in a windstorm in my book. Great job ole buddy.

  • That looks awesome... Not to hijack your post Craig or to reveal anything all you guys prolly have done.. But I had done a butt over the weekend and then during the week we had spaghetti, we had overs of both so I just mixed it all together, so it ended up like a spaghetti butt mix and it paired well with the pasta.. Damm it was good..
