I never try to hide that its hotter than hades here in summertime...the heat is a good deterrent to mass move ins and causing us to get as crowded as socal...plus the hot hot heat is sooo good for my arthritic knee and lower back pain

bring on the heat baby!  I never want to see a rusty car or a mosquito again!

Unfortunately, neither the heat nor the humidity has deterred the masses from moving to SE Florida. And now that it is "season", it's three times as crowded.

It was well below zero here Sunday and my BGE was frozen shut. I was able to open the dome ok but I had to pry off the chimney cap. The gasket had frozen to the ceramic. Thankfully no damage. When I shut it down after my cook (spatchcock chicken) it was six below. Usually it takes a good two hours before the cover can go back on. It only took about 45 minutes for the grill to become stone cold, and it was frozen solid to the deck. Gotta love the great white North.

We have two "seasons".  Tourist and Summer.
It's just too hot here now.  I can't believe we haven't even been able to turn our a/c off yet.  A least it is more pleasant than it was July - Sept.  Truly "Miami Heat".  We need a SE Florida eggfest this time of year.

Sounds like a great idea. Should be in January/February after the holidays when those up north are looking for an escape from the weather. I'm up for organizing/hosting.

Maybe over a long weekend? MLK? President's Day?

In phx, ac has been off for a couple of months, i think since mid oct,  we turned the furnace on one cold night here but its been off for at least two weeks, maybe more.  aC goes on in july when monsoons come in and we get our share of humidity.  From mid april thru mid july we use swamp cooler which is super effective when it is dry outside...the swamp cooler is an effective and inexpensive way to stay comfortable and winter around here usually doesnt require more than 2 weeks of using the furnace.     Ill take it

Cars dont rust out here so my 1994 station wagon still looks good so i dont worry about corrosion on my vehicles....
