Just heard this new cat, Paul Simon. Listened to all his albums from the 60s and 70s.
Probably not well known, but you guys should give him a listen. Crazy good songwriter and pretty decent singer too.

I didn't realize he was the Simon from Simon&Garfield. My dad used to have their huge CDs around all the time.
Did he start that band after breaking up Peter, Paul, and Mary? I thought he slept with Mary and made Peter angry or something.Maybe your purpose in life is only to serve as an example for others? - LPL

Simon has said absolutely NOT! So happens I have been reading about them a lot latlely and while I knew they have been at odds for years I didn't realize how bitter Simon was toward Garfunkel. Granted there are always two sides to every story but Garfunkel has laid out what a turd Simon is in real life and why they split. These boys were amongst my favorites in the middle 60's along with PP&M and it's sad to me. I never got to see them in person but caught PP&M 3 times - 2 of which Mary was still a thin long blonde haired leggy fox!NPHuskerFL said:Wonder if He and Garfunkel will do another album? -
Always loved the vocal work with Art. First song i learned to play was the Sounds of Silence - of course i grew up in that hippy, folk, Woodstock era.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I saw both S&G and PP&M a couple of times. Met Mary and got her autograph in her later years. Awesome!

The truth is Puff ate Peter and Paul and Mary did sleep with Paul Simon.
