I think that my temp gauge may be toast, any suggestions on a good replacement?

Check out Smokeware, they have a huge 3" replacement ..I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

Smokeware has a 25% off sale everything on their website starting tomorrow. There Thermo's run about $29 but after the discount it will cost you about $22 I'll be picking up one tomorrow when the sale starts.XL bge, Mini max & 36 BS Griddle.

The big smokeware is nice to read but I've seen that some people have said they can catch on one temp then shoot up 20 degrees. I think I have one of those but it's not every time and I haven't hawked it to see how often it happens. I do like the way they look though.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

I may go with the TT that goes to 1000 degrees. For my pizzas. And get another one for lower cooks. My guru was flawless today. So it's all good.LBGE , 22.5 & 18 WSM, 26.25 Kettle, Jennair Gasser, & a plethora of mobile Webers

@BBQbutler which is the "TT" that goes to 1,000? I do pizzas regularly and that would be handyLBGE & SBGE. Central Texas.

TT is tel tru.

I've had a TT 1000° for several years and it's great. Checked the calibration a couple of weeks ago (for the first time). It was 2° off!
Rotate it so the target temp is straight up and it's easy to see, even from a distance.

I have a nasty habit of storing accessories in my egg and closing the lid without checking for clearance.Maybe your purpose in life is only to serve as an example for others? - LPL

Smokewear ones are great, but the black faced one is appealing.

BGE actually markets a nice Tel Tru 3 " model. I picked one up because I had trouble seeing my smaller model. Works great, but can't remember how much it cost. Probably more than the Smokeware model.

Best if you get rid of the spring thing behind your thermo so it will pop up and not bend most times.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).
