I certainly appreciate everyone's thoughts and input on the Griddle. With that said, I have weighed the pros and cons and think that I'm going to bring it home. The Griddle is only 7 months old and I'm saving $1,700.00 bucks. Kind of hard to pass up.
The business that owns it says it will hit 500 degrees in 5 minutes flat if turned up on high. They also advised that gas usage is significant. Oh well, that's just the nature of the beast though. I'm bringing it home, converting it to propane and mounting it on one of the big units. It should be a welcome addition to the arsenal.
I hope you will have it mounted to the unit you bring to Brisket Camp. I'll bring my stretchy pants and forget about any calorie counting or weight watching.

Brother D, I am both a proud calorie counter as well as an avid weight watcher. I count calories by the thousands as I consume them and I watch my weight steadily increase  =)

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

Let me know when it's mounted on that big unit - I might need to borrow it for a few days...
    Nice find brother.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

If it's 1" A36, then I think 5 min is reasonable.  You don't see short order cooks standing around, waiting on a preheat.  My hermanos don't at La Monarcha Grill using one.

That would compliment an offset nicely.  Weld some sort of tank support for a larger, like 40lb lp tank.  The only con I see is being at the mercy of the LP Thunder God, and His chosen market price.  Things got out of hand a couple of years ago when Thunder Godsmacked in Fall/Winter here.  A serious piece of equipment at a great price bud.  Bring her home.
