Not to hi-jack a very serious topic on a post-Friday but @Sardonicus - that phrase "Bless your heart" is definitely a keeper and quite useful. You can rip someone a brand new hole and close with "Bless your heart" and all is well. The back-handed applications are infinite.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. That way it'll slide if you need to reposition the gasket.

I love it when a person on the forum for ten plus years asks a question that has been beaten to death.JohnInCarolina said:My Large BGE is about 4 years old, and I've been going commando for awhile. Actually it's worse than that - I have about a quarter of a gasket left on, bits and pieces really. So it's hard to hold low temps.
I gather the Rutland gaskets are the best? I think I found them on Amazon. Not sure what kind of glue to use. Any thoughts or comments?
there is one in particular who posts stuff like "i just tried a way to cook chicking that i discovered called spatchcock. It was fantastic! You should try it!"
go to your hardware store. Buy a flat rutland and a tube of the permatex.

John was a bit embarrassed about the science experiment in his mini max that he obviously forgot about prior to shipping to butt blast. In the name of science, responsible science I might add, he was completely prepared to immolate the level 3 bio-hazard within, which is part of his agreement with area 51 and the San Diego zoo.
