It's good to see the kind and generous side of The Buffalo whose work here is not always made easy.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

GATraveller said:Unfortunately no. I'm coaching my son's baseball and daughters basketball so weekend away time is virtually non-existent. I'll be lucky to fill my seats in Athens more than a couple of times. Makes me want to cry!!!

It's been a week since EGGtoberfest 2016 and I'm finally getting around to sharing some photos of my time in Atlanta, GA. My brother-in-law @R2Egg2Qfrom the San Francisco Bay Area, linked up with me for our very first EGGtoberfest experience. Thanks again @The_Buffalo for making this a reality for us!!
Overall, we had an amazing time in Atlanta. Great food, great music and great people! We ran into another Buffalo ticket winner @DaveRichardson who, as promised, wore his Buffalo t-shirt.

I learned a lot from observing and talking with the cooks, chefs and culinary partners. I've never seen so many eggs (over 200) in action at one location! It was also terrific seeing one of the culinary partners from my neighborhood--DizzyPig BBQ. Chris Cappell has an amazing team!

Congrats to Team @Big_Green_Craig for winning this year's People's Choice Award! We could tell his team went all out showing different types of BGE uses.

I finally got a chance to meet the @MeatChurch Team at one of the culinary partner tents. Their tomahawk chops was the best! I'll have to get some of their Holy Cow BBQ rub.

Although there were so many good choices, my personal favorite was EGGcellent Eats' Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese Eggroll. I'm glad I wasn't counting calories that day!

Inside the Big Green Egg Tent, we ran into one of the local Atlanta chefs who uses the XXL BGE in his restaurant. Daniel Hubbard, the Executive Sous Chef at Double Zero, invited us to his restaurant for dinner. We obliged and had his Brisket & Goat Cheese pizza. Delicious! If you visit their restaurant's new location, definitely check out their two huge wood-burning pizza ovens.

The following day, we visited the Roswell Hardware store. According to the store, they sell on average 17 eggs per day! They had an amazing showroom full of BGE and Yeti products and accessories.

We went to lunch at the Wrecking Bar Brewpub and noticed they used an XL BGE. On our way out, we were waved over by some fellow Eggheads. We discovered they were part of the Swedish contingent at EGGtoberfest. John noticed one of the chefs was wearing a Jack Daniel's 2014 competition BBQ shirt. Apparently he was a member of the 2014 Swedish International Team, Flaming Pig BBQ. There was so much BBQ talent there at the table. What an amazing worldwide community!

And what's a visit to Atlanta without a stop by Big Green Egg World Headquarters (aka, the Mothership). John and I bumped into one of the main BGE distributers in Montreal and discussed BGE's impact on the Canadian market. While there we walked through BGE's well-appointed Culinary Center. After seeing the facility, I wish I lived closer so I could attend some of their classes. John and I also had a chance to chat with Jodi Burson, Director of Brand Enhancement, and Rob D'Amico (aka, @The_Buffalo ), Interactive Communications Manager. They were incredibly open and hospitable.

I want to thank Rob @The_Buffalo again for giving us this opportunity to experience EGGtoberfest first-hand and be a part of this unique Egghead worldwide community!
