I took advantage of the Lowes sale a few months ago. This is good lump LOLXL bge, Mini max & 36 BS Griddle.

$6 per box? That's as close to robbery as it gets. I got enough to last a couple of years as well. The boxes make it easy to store.

Just saw that Naked Whiz has a review of this lump: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/lumpdatabase/lumpbag120.htmTwo Large Eggs, 6 gal Cajun Fryer, and a MiniMax in Charlotte, NC - My New Table

Nakedwhiz doesn't even have a magic rating, seems like an incomplete review.Love you bro!

The guy has done some incredible things on his website, and he should be commended, but there are a couple of things I have seen there that I really do not agree with. Not that I am right or he is wrong, just opinion based on my experience. It is a great place to start for reference material, but as always, check it out, and think for yourself."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

I purchased a dozen boxes of this for $11 each. I found that this lump works best when mixed with Rockwood or similar lump as the center cut is very mild on smoke flavor. For $11 a box it is a good deal. I wouldn't buy it for $22 a box as I don't think it compares to other quality lump at the same price.

Naked Wiz gave it 3 stars for 'Chips and Dust' and 'Lighting'. This is why I don't buy into their reviews. The same goes for their 5 star rating for 'Burn Time'. Their reviews do not reflect my experience.
Very little 'Chips and Dust' to speak of. Lights very quickly and is smokeless. Great for short cooks, but 'Burn Time' is less since this lump is light and less BTU's can be loaded into the fire box.

Picked up a few boxes today for $5 a box plus tax. The smaller size lump will work perfect in my Small Eggs and my Mini. At about $5.45 a box it was a no brainier . All the boxes were in perfect shape and still wrapped on the pallet. That's all I could fit in my Subaru.lol

I was restricked by my little Subaru Outback. I had a few other things already in the car. They had more. Ha Ha.
Thanks, could not pass up the deal. All the other stores in the area were $10.99.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
I had the opportunity to buy almost a full skid at a Lowes at end of summer, decided to pass since the deal was not that great.canuckland

I have been through a few boxes of the stuff and don't think it is any better than other premium lumps. I even found a broken plastic handle part in one box! Center cut handle?

I thought it was pretty decent. However, Rockwood is always great, and I'm not gonna stray from now on. Eggs are really efficient - why bother with something less than the best?

I have a box but will only use it for fast cooks. I still use Rockwood for 90 percent of my cooks, but the center cut does burn clean quickly.Stillwater, MN
