A great read, why am I not surprised by #1?   In a few short year when I retire, I plan on making a few month long road trip, will have to mark these down.  Thanks!

What is so fun about this article, is actually reading their take on a couple places I have been. Their review is dead on. One quick note, the BBQ mutton in Owensboro, Kentucky is incredible. I was extremely apprehensive initially on my first visit. Since then, I don't even drive by that part of commonwealth (within 50 miles), without stopping in. The best deal is the buffet. All home cooking, and nothing is in the pans longer than 10 minutes. Opens at 10:30 central, lines begin at 9:00
Joe's in KC. Burnt ends. Done. Best ever. One of the reasons I wanted to learn to cook brisket was my first visit here.
The others I had visited were certainly worthy of their rankings, and I have several more I would love to sample soon.
    Great read.

Never trust any top 10 list that includes Rendezvous. =)

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

YukonRon...Moonlite BBQ in Owensboro is awesome. Try Kountry Kastle BBQ Mutton in Paducah the next time you're down that way.

I grew up on Kountry Kastle BBQ and remember it like it was last night !!
