Bought a bge mini what else does it do

bought a bge mini from Craigslist for 120. A price I couldn't pass up.   I've use it way more than I thought  I find it uses less charcoal than my large and small and heats up way faster.  But besides searing steaks anything else I can do on it. Also I'm in Chicago so will it do well in the cold like my other 2 ? Everyone's expertise is greatly appreciated

Burgers, wings, game hens, smash burgers on small CI skillet, hot dogs, brats, keilbasa, anything that will fit I would guess. Cold should not affect it.

Go to youtube and look up magic mini moments. @SpringChicken made them and they'll show you what can be done.

Get a mini wok and wok away

Get a pizza stone and make mini pizzas or other indirect cooks.

sold a package deal (mini & a large) for either $150 or $200, can't remember but it was on the second round on craigslist after no bites on round one; the large had some issues but still these things don't hold their value as much as many think

I'm one of the ones who really likes the little mini. Like most things, it certainly has its limitations. But on that note, it certainly has its strong points as well. By far and large I use mine for searing. I will run steaks or whatever indirect low and slow on my large and have the mini standing by for the sear. I find this more handy than pulling the hot internals out of the large. I also like to do shrimp and seafood on the mini. Seafood cooks so fast that the minis limited capacity is annulled by its speed. Hotdogs and patty sausage are two other items I prefer to do on the mini. For its size, the mini is a a$$ kicking machine in my book. I wouldn't be without one.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.
