I am going to a party on Sunday where it has been requested that I make some standard BGE apps...ABT's and Moink Balls.
Usually when I make these its for an event at home so I take them from Egg to serving immediately. In this case, I have to take them somewhere. What's my best option? Should I a) cook them in the AM, allow to cool and reheat in oven once I get there or b) time them so they'll be done right before I leave (which means I leave an active egg) or c) (whatever you suggest).
Your thoughts are helpful and appreciated.

How far is your drive? Since they are apps, i would want to time them to be finished right before you take off for the party. I would not think twice about leaving an active egg. Shut er down and walk away. Since they are apps, they would be consumed the moment you arrive. Hopefully your drive is 15-20 minutes.Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone

I have done ABT's pulled them when done just before leaving 15-20 minute drive in foil pan covered and they always sit a while at the event because they never seem to be able eat at the time they say we will! But that foil pan is always the first pan to be empty. I would think Moink balls would do well also. No worries on leaving the egg as I just shut the vents and off to family reunion.
I'm only hungry when I'm awake!

You could reheat in the foil pan on the party host's gasser for a few minutes to warm them up.
