    My daughter has a soccer tournament in Nashville next weekend or I would be there with y'all.

    Absolutely digging the countdown JIC. This has been one of my favorite posts of all time.
    The bourbon slushies (using Evan Williams in these) commence production today. I will also be bringing an extra case of 1.5 liters, if anyone needs a little more medicine in the frozen concoctions.
    I have sworn to My Beautiful Wife, to be on my best behavior, however, I am still nervous about cameras. There was this one thing several years ago at Berkley, um, never mind......

    A friend of mine was at a hotel I think in Traverse City (a cool city in northern Michigan) and Bob Seger was in the hotel restaurant.  My friend said she was sure he would rather have been left alone, but they invaded his space anyway.  He was very nice and gracious and posed for selfies with my buddy and her friends.  He was very classy.

    @JohnInCarolina -  I now know you have the greatest respect for baseball, going with Joltin' Joe, coming from a Red Sox fan.  I actually talked with him once (San Diego airport-Dec 1987) while he was waiting for his handler.  He was returning from a State dinner in DC (family and I were traveling from DC to SD-same plane for the duration (TWA)).  Started with "how was the dinner, etc" and he was quite open.  One of those windows of opportunity moments.
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    Just curious, as this will be my first gathering of eggers; Do we have paper plates, napkins, and other eating utensils covered, or will we be eating like Vikings?

    I bought take home containers, paper boats (like plates) and a 8 pack of paper towel at sam's last night for the event. So we will at least have that.

    Plates! napkins! doesn't everyone eat like Vikings?

    The little bride and I have been to a few fest so I will try to give some insight, we always bring everything that we need to prep, cook and serve what we intend to cook & serve. The pizza we serve people just pick up a piece and eat it, the wings are served on a small plate or French fry boat, breakfast sausage is served with a tooth pick minus the tooth! Rest assured that many will forget something they need and someone else will have it and share. This will all be over in a flash of lightning and by Sunday all we will have are some awesome memories of an awesome time with the cult members. So if everyone brings what they think they need most likely we will have more than we need and sharing is recommended. Jim & Kay
