Thanks guys... The weather sucks, windy and cold with rain, snow later. I made some Guinness beef stew and decided to try and rig an indirect set up for the MM. Ugly, but it's working so far. Doing some country style pork ribs... Only thing that makes this weather bearable is knowing I don't have to work all week...

I've done some 5-6 hour brisket cooks in it before , maybe 7 pushing it. Others may know more.

Update...

went to the boardwalk today and then back to the house for some music, drinks, dogs, and an egg lesson for Scoot. She's taking to it like a duck to water. Doing some kielbasa tonight

How long are the copper tubes you used for the raised direct setup?  That is a great idea.  I've been using small clay pots-they work but are not real sturdy.  Did you saw off the handle of your cast iron skillet?

Are you going with the smokeware for sure? I am on the fence in how it looks, I've seen a few pics. It looks too large for the MM.

They are 1/2" copper pipe 12" long... I flattened the ends somewhat to prevent them rolling. That said, the woo set up, hi que, and smoke ware cap should be here soon.

Best investment in cooking, is something you can involve your children with. Very cool, you will love the MM.

@hapster, looks like you and your daughter had a great time and a good deal on a MM.  I wish I wouldn't have spent the money on my mini egg knock off and had saved up to get a MM.  Maybe this summer if I can talk the wife into it.  On the scotch eggs, what is meat recipe?  I need to try those.
