OT: XXXL Clothes Drive for someone in need
Hello All: A quick story - I periodically employ a laborer to help with chores. Picked him up a few weeks ago to cut firewood. It was 39* outside and windy. He was in a tee shirt. I asked "where's your coat?". Answer: "I don't have one that fits." He has been unemployed for a while and has put on a lot of weight.
Favor to ask my egging brethren: It is hard to find good XXXL (three X) jackets, coats, shirts that look good. I've bought him a few things online and will do more. Any of you big 'ol fellers got any used XXXL warm stuff to donate? Or know anyone? If so, PM me and I'll send you my home address. Not looking to raise funds. Simply hoping to give old clothes some new life.
p.s. He's 6'3" and about 350lbs.
Thanks
Jeff (JethroVA)

Check out Bass Pro and Cabelas for outdoor work wear. Carhart makes big and tall items too. I shop at Belks around here. I wear 2XL, but need tall shirts.------------------------------

Now this is where this forum is a cut above. I am always impressed with the generosity shown here. @The Cen-Tex Smoker - mighty fine gesture right there.

I understand that problem. I'm 6'5" 350lbs. Put on 100 lbs when laid up for an extended time after a farm accident. Isn't coming off nearly as easy as it went on. Finding clothes is a chore. Online is by far the best bet assuming you know the correct sizes. So much variation among brands. Dungarees.net is a great source for Carrhart. Wish I could send some your way, but work clothes don't stay decent long here on the farm.

There's some super great people on here. In my short time on this forum, I have seen some really fine gestures by some extra generous folks. You deserve some high praise.

@The Cen-Tex Smoker came through big time. Two giant boxes containing about 20 items of 4XL clothing arrived. Shirts, work pants, jackets, etc. Delton says thank you very very much. Things are looking up for him. I set him up with a laptop and wifi so he could job search at home and as a result he has interviews this week. And he'll be rockin his new Dickies garb! Thanks CenTex.
