    I like it!

Good deal with Ace too. Many folks seem to think that Amazon has the best prices. Absolutely NOT TRUE. Especially for this...

    Ace Hardware, $79.99.
    Amazon, $147.22!!!
Ace is da place of the helpful hardware folks!
    FTFY

In a nostalgic nod, Ace Hardware, the Oak Brook, IL.-based hardware cooperative, is launching a new ad campaign this week from GSD&M in Austin, Texas, that brings back the familiar Ace jingle that hasn't been heard in its full words and music form for some 16 years.

That would be the jingle with the line "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks." The current version of the jingle, first introduced in 1989, was a variation on the original jingle used in the 1970's and 1980's that had the line "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man."

In a new Ace Hardware TV spot, a neighborhood home is transformed into an Ace Hardware… more

Needless to say, Ace tweaked the line so it would more accurately reflect the full spectrum of staff that work for the company.

Called "Meet the Aces," the new ad campaign aims to position the hardware store chain as a place for consumers who don't want to deal with the often more anonymous big box shopping experience. Neighborly advice and the full attention of Ace sales associates are the company thinks separates Ace from the big box competition.

Noted John Surane, senior vice president, marketing, merchandising and sales for Ace: "Through 'Meet the Aces' campaign, we've literally brought to life the neighborly advice and undivided attention that customers receive when they walk into an Ace Hardware store."

One new TV commercial called "Neighbors" shows a home in done up to resemble a Ace hardware store. A neighbor in need has dropped by for help in retrieving a wedding band that has dropped down the bathroom sink.

Acting as any helpful neighbor might, the Ace associate hands the customer everything he will need to retrieve the ring as he is explaining what's involved in the procedure. The spot concludes with the Ace jingle line.

second commercial, called "Anthem," reintroduces viewers in sweeping cinematic fashion to the Ace brand, which is nearly 90 years old. The ad copy reminds viewers that Ace has been assisting neighbors with quality products and helpful service ever since there have been neighborhoods. Yea, that long. This spot also ends with the full Ace jingle.

    Holy chit cliff claven.
    Slumming it in Aiken, SC.
  • Well thanks to all of the comments on this, I purchased one. It will be part of my outdoor kitchen I'm building in a couple of months. Kind of strange I tell the wife lets go get an XL BGE to go in the new outdoor kitchen along with the large and minimax, so I don't have to redo it later when I want another egg and she's all for it. I told her I bought this to go along with the eggs and I get all kinds of grief. Once she cooks breakfast on it I'm sure she'll change her mind. Can't wait to pick it up along with some Rockwood at ACE.

@ScottNC Stainless table came in from Amazon. Modified following your directions and setup today. It is a perfect home for the mini and mini-max. They swap out easily. Thanks again!

@SmokininCT Is that a small egg in the nest? If so, what mates are you using with it? I want to add some mates to my small but not sure what size mates fit. I've only ever seen one other small egg with mates and the owner was clueless about them.
    first place i googled

@WeberWho Yes, that is a small egg in the nest and it has the composite Egg Mates listed on the site. I ordered and picked them up from Dizzy Pig at one of their egg feasts. I've only got 1installed due to the space (set of stairs to the left), but they come in pairs. It works out pretty well.

Thanks for the info @SmokininCT This is the first time I've heard that they make them for the small egg
